Optimizer: Ad hoc functionality

The optimization process enables intelligent management of both energy demand and production. Gradhoc is capable of optimizing refrigeration systems without compromising food safety. The platform deploys alarms triggered by formulas tailored to each installation. Among its various features, it can:

Set adaptive temperatures based on real-time needs in a particular refrigeration system, taking into account power producers, contracted tariffs, and customer processes, all aimed at minimizing energy costs. The optimizer calculates the temperature evolution in the future, adjusting setpoints to minimize costs.
Manage the start-ups and shutdowns of equipment according to predefined priorities to avoid excessive energy consumption.

Cold rooms

In the bottom graph, we see an example of automatic actions taken on the operation of a cold room to adapt to the tariff periods with lower cost.

The graph shows the price of electricity and temperature variables (in this case, ambient temperature).

Compressors

In the bottom graph, we see an example of the evolution in the linearity of compressor operation.

In the graph, we observe that the lines representing the operating hours of the compressors are denser in the period before the optimizer activation (to the left) than in the period after (to the right), providing a very clear qualitative indicator of the effectiveness of the measures.
